My Story of Photography

For much of my teen and adult life, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to travel across North America., Europe, Asia, and Australia. I’ve lived in Germany during my husband’s time in the Army, and had very short relocations to multiple cities since and before my marriage. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for diverse stories and cultures, which I love bringing into my photography.

I’m excited to capture your love story wherever it unfolds! With over a decade of experience and a passion for blending documentarian style with an editorial flair, I strive to create timeless, artful narratives of each wedding day. I enjoy playing with light and shadow, slowing the shutter, and using time-honored techniques to craft artistic images inspired by your unique day.

With a background in fashion merchandising and over 250 weddings as a second photographer or associate, I bring a thoughtful eye for detail, composition, and storytelling to every celebration I photograph. Each wedding is a new canvas, and I’m passionate about creating images that feel timeless, yet uniquely yours.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m home with my husband and our three kids in northern Virginia. I’ve been experimenting in my yard and garden for over a decade, nurturing native plants, a fig tree, and an American wisteria vine that I’m especially proud of. I also love exploring Loudoun County, venturing into D.C. for museums, historical sites, and amazing restaurants, and spending time with friends.

I always look forward to connecting with my extended family and friends scattered across the Midwest, South, West Coast, and beyond—wherever we can meet up in the world.

And when I’m unwinding, you’ll often find me diving into a great series—whether it’s a book, show, or podcast. I also love playing games with my family, I also enjoy meeting friends for line dance lessons when I can. I can’t wait to hear about your favorite stories and start capturing yours! I have always had a love of book and I am trying to get to reading all the books I have collected!
