My Truths
I am Crystal a Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland Wedding Photographer and I believe that my role is not just to capture photos but to preserve the moments that matter most: the laughter, the happy tears, the quiet glances, & the unspoken emotions. Every couple’s story is unique, & I approach each wedding with the goal of telling that story authentically & beautifully. My professional journey began in college photographing local events before diving into weddings. With a degree in Fashion Merchandising and as many Photography classes as I could take, I honed my creative eye. While a life abroad deepened my appreciation for human connection.
After getting married, I moved to Germany to be with my Army officer husband, and 2 moves and three kids later we have made our home here in the DC area since 2010. I’ve had the honor of working with all kinds of couples and capturing religious and non-religious weddings and receptions in every style imaginable with all kinds of amazing vendors. I have been privileged to witness the beauty of two worlds coming together during my time as a wedding photographer for almost 300 couples. It is truly such an honor to have been able to capture these amazing gatherings for family and other loved ones.
During my time in the DMV, I’ve had the pleasure of working as an associate and second shooter for one studio for over 12 years, as well as collaborating with other talented photographers on occasion. I have photographed families and local businesses to share their story. I thrive on the diversity of these experiences and feel so grateful to document the moments that mean the most to those couples. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories and what makes them tick.

After we have met to discuss your day & we want to proceed working together you will receive a personalized proposal for your day. It will outline your investment cost & a timeline guide with the visions you have for photography on your day. You will have everything you need to lock me in for those dream images for your wedding!!
Fine Tuning
I will be in contact with you & your vendor teams needed in the months leading up to the wedding day and do a final check in the final 6 weeks leading up to the day. Your comfort on the day is the most important thing and I am dedicated to accommodating your wishes with the team & ensuring that your day unfolds exactly as you envision.
Enjoying it
The day is here & all that's left is to experience it and let it happen. Your team has prepared and will take it from here. This is what it's all about.
