Based in Loudoun County in the heart of DC’s Wine Country®, I am a Northern Virginia wedding photographer capturing authentic and intentional celebrations of love throughout Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond. My work centers on what truly matters: connection, emotion, and meaningful storytelling. I believe photography holds real importance in the world. More than just the beauty in the images, it is about preserving the moments that matter most that make your wedding day uniquely yours. Wedding photography will bring you back to how it felt, not just how it looked.

Got engaged in Paris
My husband and I met in middle school but lost touch in high school & college only to reconnect because of the start of "The Facebook". After our first date we both knew we would marry.
We dated long distance in the US as he started his Army Officer career then he moved abroad and when I flew to visit him where he was stationed he flew us to Paris to propose. We spent our honeymoon in Jamaica - our 3rd country together outside of the US.
Have traveled to 23 Countries
I have been to the 6 of the 50 smallest countries in the world by land area. I have been blessed to live abroad with my husband and this made our travel in Europe and Asia so much simpler when we first married. We attended a wedding in Cyprus for my college friend, we traveled to Malta, we spent our first Christmas vacation on a bus trip to Italy and went to the Vatican for a service for Christmas Eve. I worked all over South Korea and Japan at military bases. A very cool trip was to Dubai before our first child was born.
Have 3 amazing children
My kids were born each in their own decade because of their under decade spacing apart. The first was born abroad at a military hospital and the others both locally. They all have made me a better human. Helping me grow and change in ways I didn't know possible. I truly treasure the time with them as it is flying by. I sometimes wish I could both fast forward and rewind time.
Am Multi-passionate
I am sentimental about connections and moments that make life beautiful! I find so much joy in small things—like the way a smell can transport you back in time or how a song holds not just a story but memories connected to it. I have a deep appreciation for storytelling, nostalgia, and emotion. I treasure all those things that make me excited for life. I truly look forward to the beautiful toasts I hear about the couple from their loved ones on their day. I truly LOVE all things weddings. And when I love something, I will absolutely want to share it! Weddings are full of meaning, connection, and once-in-a-lifetime moments so they are the perfect thing for me to love as much as I do!
LOVE thrifting
I have long loved to thrift and shop for things to give them new life and new purpose. My favorite thing find and reuse is glass platters or dishes for my plants to have a prettier way to catch water when draining.
Maps and Globes are another favorite thrift find. They represent my love of travel and those deep connections we weave as humans. Books are another thing I LOVE to thrift can't resist a book for my kids. Even if my husband has lovingly asked me to stop buying books when I tend to only do "read" Audio Books.
Enjoy learning new things
When I first graduated from college, I didn’t fully appreciate how much there was left to learn. Over time, I’ve come to realize just how much I don’t know, and that realization has sparked a deep love for learning. There’s an endless world of knowledge to explore.
Aside from listening to all the podcasts I can another apace I love to learn is museums. They are a treasure trove of knowledge, giving us a glimpse into new worlds and experiences, so I never pass an opportunity to go to a new museum in a new city or return to a favorite nearby.
Plant native plants
Over a decade into my planting and gardening journey, I have grown to appreciate the value of native plants in the yard. Over the years, I’ve expanded my garden, planting a variety of vegetables and flowers and native plants around my house.
Among my favorite is my fig tree, it always leaves me with more fruit than I can eat, so I love sharing it with friends. In recent years, I’ve moved my focus more to a variety of cut and native flowers that take less effort with a few veggies for fun.
Can't resist a cute bookstore or Library
My amazing friends own Birchtree Bookstore & Foliage Plant Shop. It is for sure one of my favorite shops in town!
I am in multiple bookclubs but don't always finish the book. LOVE a good historical fiction. The Women & Frozen River are currently my two favs.
The Iowa state capital has a BEAUTIFUL library with stunning spiral staircases. Since I was born in this state, I have a special love for it. Of course DC has some amazing ones too! Let's go take your picture there!
Have a favorite City
I have been to Paris more than any other city in the world, outside of the US. I went first for a college summer course abroad. I was engaged there and traveled there multiple times when we lived in Germany when we first married and we took our older two there when we lived in the UK for a few months and I can only dream about my next trip!!
My professional photography journey began in college and has since taken me across borders and through many life experiences. Today I feel grateful for the perspective those years have given me. As a mother and the wife of a veteran and dedicated government servant, and as someone who has lived and traveled abroad these experiences are woven into who I am and shape the way I see people, connection, and the powerful stories that unite us all.
I spent many years learning from talented photographers as both an associate and a second shooter before deciding to growing my own brand. As an associate photographer, I have captured weddings for established studios while they handled the before and after of the day of photography. These roles taught me how to approach every celebration with professionalism, adaptability, and care.
Religious and non religious or a mix of the two, grand and intimate, traditional or contemporary, modern yet deeply personal, I have had the honor of documenting celebrations of every kind. Every couple brings something new, and it is a privilege to be trusted with moments they want to remember forever.
At the heart of everything I do is this, I love people, I love their stories, and I believe the photography should feel like a celebration of who you are.

Proposal
After we have met to discuss your day you will receive a personalized proposal. It will outline your investment cost & a framework for the timeline along with the visions you have for photography on your day. So you’ll feel confident, excited, and ready to officially reserve your date.
Fine Tuning
I will be in contact with you & your vendor teams in the months leading up to the wedding day. A check in, 6 weeks prior to the wedding, to go over final details should happen. I am dedicated to your day and working with the team to ensuring your day unfolds beautifully and authentically.
Carpe Diem
The day is here & all that's left is to experience it and enjoy it. I am passionate about capturing the moments that make your wedding truly yours and making sure you have your perfect day. You will have sneaks in hand in if you wish and a full gallery soon.
